Brother Delton Earl Havard was born in Mobile, Alabama on February 3, 1950, the twelfth of sixteen children, to Ford and Mary Havard of Semmes, Alabama. He attended Mary C. Montgomery High School and graduated in 1970.  He married Sharon Lee Boling on February 14, 1987. He has one daughter, Mrs. Delia Annice Echols and one granddaughter, Dericka Annice both of Wilmer, Alabama.  Delton and Sharon are members of Azalea Baptist Church in Mobile.  He is employed as a meat cutter.

Brother Havard was initiated an Entered Apprentice Mason on April 1, 1981; passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft, April 24, 1981; raised to the sublime Degree of Master Mason April 29, 1981. He received the Grand Lodge Proficiency Certificate on April 21, 1987, from Grand Master Marvin E. Leachman and was appointed Assistant District Lecturer, District 32, in 1991. He is a Past Master of Loop Lodge #895 and is Past President of the Mobile County Masonic Breakfast Club.  He is a York Rite and Scottish Rite Mason 32 K.C.C.H.  He is a Noble of the Mystic Shrine and ABBA Temple of Mobile and is a member of AI Hassan Grotto.  Delton was elected Junior Grand Warden in 1993 and has progressed through the Grand Lodge Line to serve as Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons of the State of Alabama 1996-1997.  He and Sharon are members of Toulmin Chapter #455, Order of the Eastern Star.
