Born January 5, 1956 in Natchitoches, Louisiana
Parents Boyd B. Durr and Vermel “Sis” Diseadier
Graduated Natchitoches Central High School 1974
While attending Northwestern State University, Greg worked in Law enforcement putting himself through college.
Moved to Fayette, Alabama in June of 1979
Worked in construction until joining the Fayette Police Department. In October of 1979, he worked his way up from night shift patrol to Chief of Police. Greg left the Fayette Police Department in
November 2000, and went to work for the Northport Police Department retiring in January, 2010.

Greg then began to work for the Tuscaloosa Sheriff ’s Department before retiring again in 2015. He is currently working for Alabama Restoration and Remediation.
